Mid Year Institute Campaign

National Children and Junior Youth Education Coordinator Miss Geriti Katik our
resource person Mr Lee Yih Ven will be visiting advance clusters May-July to
train our newly appointed Children’s Class and Junior Youth Cluster
Coordinators; organize Children’s Class teachers gathering, get the statistic,
access SBI programs for Junior Youths animator and Children’s Class teachers and
train animators for Junior Youth Empowerment Programs. Their tentative visiting
schedule is below. We hope individuals, institutions and communities will give
them and your cluster coordinators

Youth participated in institute campaign in Selampit

The campaign started on 1 November 2003 and was successfully completed on 30 November. The purpose of the campaign was to get the participants to attend a series of Ruhi courses, namely, Ruhi Book 1 through Book 4.

On Nov 1, Book 1 started with 4 participants. At the same time the junior youth class started with 22 participants, including one non-Bahá’í. On Nov 5, Book 2 started with 8 participants. At the same time a group of 8 persons started with Book 4. On Nov 18, graduates of Book 2 proceeded to Book 3 with 13 participants. On Nov 23 graduates of Book 3 continued to Book 4 with 12 participants.

School Holiday Institute Campaigns

We are very pleased to share with you that according to reports received by SBI in October, 47 groups had completed their study circles and 148 friends had graduated from Book 1 to Book 7. We are also happy to note that many clusters are focused to move their participants up the sequence of courses. This is one way to ensure human resources for our own communities.

National Tutor Gathering

As you remember, we have announced the National Tutor Gathering to be held in Central Region on 22-25 November. This is to confirm that the gathering is on and the venue will be in the Sibu Baháí Centre Tel : 084-327262. Visiting Bahá’í Communities

From 17 till 27 November, Auxiliary Board Member Mr. Bunsie Tunton made a ten-day trip to the northern region by driving the family van all the way to Rh. Ansok, Sg. Kelabit in the Bakong area. He was accompanied by wife Bari and their three children. For Bari it was more like a happy reunion after a long separation. In her report about the trip, Bari wrote that their visit coincided with the Reflection Meetings organised by the Area Teaching Committees. At Rh. Ansok, representatives from ten communities in the Bakong-Tinjar Cluster attended the reflection meeting held on 19 Nov. The friends studied the 26 Nov 2001 document from the International Teaching Centre and the 2002 Ridvan Message.

Children’s Class Campaign in Kuching

I’m glad to share with you that we held a Children Class pre-campaign last weekend (7-9th Feb) with assistance from Mdm Parvaneh, a resource person from West Malaysia, the National Child Education Committee and Sarawak Bahá’í Institute. The venue was the CAWF office at Jalan Keretapi. The purpose of this pre-campaign was to bring the friends (those having completed Ruhi Book 3 and/or Children’s Class teachers) to study more on the importance of moral education (using Ruhi Book 3) and for the multiplication of the children’s classes and to bring in the seekers.
