Inter-Faith Group visit during Chinese New Year

A visit was organized by Dr.John Fozdar for the Inter-Faith group to the SUPP headquaters during the Chinese New Year celebration in Kuching recently. The members of the group comprised of Dr John Fozdar, Mdm Maria Peter and myself, representing the Baha’i Faith; Bishop Datuk Made Katik from the Anglican Church; Archbishop Emeritus Datuk Peter Chung from the Catholic Church; Mr Piara Singh from the Sikh Religion; Kapitan Kurumossamy from Hindu Association; and lastly Ms. Chan from the Kuching Buddhist Association.

Informal meeting to promote inter-faith understanding

Kuching (Sarawak Tribune) 2003.11.07 – A delegation of senior representatives from the Anglican Church, Catholic Church, Baha’i Spiritual Assembly, Buddhist Society, Sri Mariamman Temple, Hindu Temple Association and the Sikh Temple Association held an informal gathering with officials of the Sarawak Islamic Council during a courtesy call at the Sharia Court Building yesterday afternoon.

Religious Leaders received Message from the House

On 31 December 2002, representatives of the Local Spiritual Assembly of Sibu, Mr. Lim Chung Tee and Mr. Thomas Ting paid a courtesy call to the Chairman of the Buddhist Association in Sibu to present the Message of the Universal House of Justice to the leaders of religions in the world. On the following day, Mdm. Alice Go, Mr. Thomas Ting and Mr. Lim Chung Tee also called on the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church of Sibu for the same purpose.
