Dear Bahá’í friends,
From time to time, we receive payments of Huqúqu’lláh sent through travelling teachers or visiting Bahá’ís or even the national or local spiritual assemblies.
From time to time, we receive payments of Huqúqu’lláh sent through travelling teachers or visiting Bahá’ís or even the national or local spiritual assemblies.
This is not a very satisfactory arrangement. Payments of Huqúqu’lláh should be made only through the Deputy or Representative of Huqúqu’lláh. In quite reliable circumstances, it may occasionally be channelled through the local or national spiritual assembly. But this should not be a usual route for transmission of Huqúqu’lláh funds. If money is sent through spiritual assemblies, they will issue a receipt. When the money is given to the Office of Huqúqu’lláh, we have to issue another receipt. This causes confusion with accounting when two receipts are issued for the same sum of money.
Every payment of Huqúqu’lláh has to be acknowledged with a receipt issued from this office. The believers must have absolute confidence that the money they pay has been acknowledged on behalf of the Universal House of Justice. We have to be quite strict in this matter.
We hope that the believers will make a conscious effort to channel their funds properly.
If anyone has difficulty in transmitting their payments, they could write to this office or to their local representative of this office, and we will make arrangements to facilitate their payments.
With loving greetings,
