Junior Youth Gatherings at Kampung Ipuh Diang
“On November 12, a group of four youths comprising Zarrin, Miday, Margeretha and I went with Uncle Balan to Kampung Ipuh Diang for the celebration of the Anniversary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh. The next day, 13th November, we organized a junior youth gathering, starting at 8 a.m. We prepared two separate programs, one for the junior youth and another for the children. 32 junior youth and children turned up for the day’s program. In combined sessions, we taught them how to chant prayers, sing new songs, interactive games and Samoa dance. We also showed them how to pray with the right attitude. In a separate session, the junior youth had a Questions & Answers while the children did some colouring. The program ended at 12.45p.m. The participants were happy and would like us to come again in the future. This is the third of such gathering we had organized. Our next goal is to organize one in Kampung Sumpas Tampek.
On 20 November, a few youth comprising Tampik, Miday, Ethel, Zarrin and I joined the community devotional gathering at Sumpas Tampek. We chanted prayers and watched a CD we brought from Triboh. The friends were impressed and happy to see new development in the Bahá’í community. The next day, 16 junior youth and children turned up for the gathering. The same program was used for the day’s gathering. Here the participants asked many questions such as, “What is Bahá’í Faith?” “Do devils really exist?” The program ended at 4 p.m. with prayers and recap on what they had learned the whole day. They were happy and requested us to come again.”
