Intensive Teaching Campaign: A Resounding Success

16 July 2008 No Comment

11 Apr 2005 Kuching: For the more than 40 friends who turned out last night at the Kuching Baha’i Centre for a review of the results of the 2-week Intensive Teaching Campaign that was launched at the same venue on the evening of 25 March 2005 amidst much fanfare in an inspiring candle-lighting ceremony, the results could not have been more inspiring.

Though the 20 odd teaching teams could only manage to get 365 contacts out of the 540 originally set as the goal, the number of receptive individuals was more than expected. The original goal set 10% of the 540 contacts (i.e. 54 people) to be receptive individuals. But by the end of the campaign, the actual number was 245, that is, nearly 5 times the original target.

By the end of the teaching campaign, the number of core activities has increased as shown below:

  • Study Circles: increased from 12 to 18. This is still 6 short of the goal set.
  • Children’s Classes: increased from 14 to 24, as set out in the goal.
  • Devotional Meetings: increased from 17 to 41 venues. This is 8 shy of the target of 49.
  • Junior Youth Classes: increased from 4 to 7. Originally, there was no goal set for this but the response was so good that it was decided to increase additional classes to cater for interest among the junior youth.

The next phase of the Intensive Growth Programme, to which this campaign is just a part, involves the consolidation to be carried out among the afore-mentioned receptive souls.
